In his first eight chapters, Mark has been revealing who Jesus is, but people still only saw Him as human. Today’s reading is the Transfiguration of Our Lord. Peter, James, and John were given the gift of being able to clearly see that Jesus has supplanted Moses and Elijah as the one we look to for hope.
