This month, we begin looking at the Book of James, which was written roughly a dozen years after Jesus’ resurrection. Unlike other books in the New Testament, James is written as an imaginary conversation. The second chapter deals with social justice and faith in action. For James, the Spirit is the one who does the work and faith is the body. Our active faith gives glory to God.
