Today we begin our Holy Week observance with Palm Sunday. We carry our palm branches and sing of the triumphant entrance into Jerusalem of our Messiah. We sing His praises, but those songs will turn into angry shouts. This week we will focus on Jesus’ suffering and patience. We will ponder why the cost of redemption had to be accomplished in this manner. We know that separation from God has terrifying consequences.
