Thomas is only mentioned by name in the gospel of John, which is where we learn his nickname, “The Twin”. In the reading for this morning, we also hear of his doubt, which has given him the nickname most of us know. It is natural to have doubts in our journey of faith. But Jesus and the apostles show grace to Thomas by not casting him away. We are commanded to show that same grace to others by being forgiving.
