A New Heaven and a New Earth

Revelation Chapter 21 describes the new creation of a New Heaven and a New Earth, and the descent of the New Jerusalem, symbolizing God dwelling with His people forever. In this renewed state, God wipes away all tears, eliminating death, mourning, and pain, as the former things pass away. New Jerusalem is described as a glorious, beautiful city, prepared like a bride for her husband, with no need for a sun or moon, but illuminated by God's glory. Only those whose names are in the Lamb's book of life will enter, and those who overcome will inherit this promised eternal life with God.
